In this page you will find animals lived in the Mesozoic Era, it is divided in 3 principal periods:
Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceus
It is belived that dinosaurs lived in the jurassic era, maybe because the most famous film of dinosaurs is called like this, but in reality this is a small part of a biggest era: Mesozoic
Not only dinosaurs lived in this period but the first mammals lived toghether with they.
Here down you can find only a few species, the most simbolic of this era.
Triassic
This is one of the first periods where dinosaurs were born, the first were born from the water and then they came to land, for this reason the most famous dinosaurs of this era had lived in water like the Plesiosaur, considered the king of the sea because it was one of the most dangerous predators of the ocean.
Jurassic
This is the most famous period but not with the most famous animals. In this period the mammals popolate the earth slowly. Here the dinosaurs had an evolution, a lot of water animals become earth animals. One of the most famouse dinosaur is teh Brontosaur, known for his very long neck and one of the vegetarian dinosaurs.
Cretaceus
In this period a lot of famous dinosaur lived in it for example the velociraptor, triceratops, stegosaurus... but don't forget the king of dinosaurs: Tyrannosaurus rex. It is the biggest carnivore of this era.
In this period there's the thory about the meteorite that hits the planet and this caused the extintion of them but this is only a theory, nothing is sure.
